How to Copy a Workflow to Another Sub-Account in Stack

Copying workflows between sub-accounts in Stack is now a breeze. You can transfer workflows without needing to go through the entire "Snapshot" process. Here's how you can do it:

Steps to Copy a Workflow

  1. Select Sub-Account
Begin by selecting the sub-account you want to copy the workflow to. Only the sub-accounts you have access to will be displayed.

  2. Submit the Workflow
Once you've selected the desired sub-account, submit the workflow. The copied workflow will appear in the target sub-account in a draft state by default.

Understanding Workflow Copy History

You can track the history of workflows you've copied to other sub-accounts. Each entry will show the current status, allowing you to monitor the process.

Debugging Copy Errors

If an error occurs during the copying process, you can troubleshoot by clicking on the specific history entry. This will provide detailed information to help resolve any issues.

Assets Copied with the Workflow

When you copy a workflow to another sub-account, the following assets are included:

  • Contact Tags
  • Contact Custom Fields
(Ensure the field type is consistent across accounts)
  • Sub-Account Custom Values
  • Opportunity Custom Fields
  • Opportunity Pipelines & Stages
  • Email/SMS Text Templates
  • Email Builder Templates
(Note: This feature is coming soon)

Note: All other assets or references not listed will be cleared or removed from the workflow before copying it to the selected sub-account.

By following these steps, you can efficiently manage and replicate workflows across your sub-accounts in Stack, streamlining your processes and saving time.
