How to Copy Contacts Between Sub-Accounts in Stack
Copying contacts between sub-accounts in Stack is a straightforward process that helps you manage your contacts efficiently. Follow the steps below to ensure a smooth transfer of contact information.
Getting Started
The Copy Contact feature allows you to transfer contacts from one sub-account to another. This feature is particularly useful when organizing contacts across different accounts you have access to.
Select an Account
To begin, choose the sub-account where you want the contact to be copied. Only the accounts you have access to will be displayed in the selection list.
Copy Tags
Enhance your contact organization by assigning multiple tags to the newly copied contacts in the selected sub-account. You can either use existing tags from the source contact or create new ones manually.
Copy Custom Fields
If you enable this option, custom fields associated with the contact will also be copied to the selected account. Note that custom fields will only be transferred if they exist in the destination account and match the type in both accounts.
Update Existing Contacts
Toggle the option to update contacts if they already exist in the destination sub-account. If enabled, existing contacts will be updated with the new information. If the contact does not exist, a new contact will be created.
Skip Contacts Without Email and Name
Contacts lacking an email or name will not be copied and will be automatically skipped during the process.
What Gets Copied?
When using the Copy Contact action, the following information will be transferred:
- Contact Information
- General Information
- Tags (Ensure the "Copy Tags" option is enabled)
- Custom Fields (Ensure the "Copy Custom Fields" option is enabled and fields are available in the destination account)
What Does Not Get Copied?
The following details will not be transferred:
- Conversations
- Activity Logs
- Notes
- Tasks
- Appointments
- Documents
- Payments
