Overview

The Remove Opportunity action in Stack is designed to help you maintain a clean and organized sales pipeline by allowing you to delete opportunities that are no longer relevant. This action offers flexibility in choosing which opportunities to remove:

  • The opportunity that triggered the workflow
  • An opportunity identified in a previous Find Opportunity step
  • All opportunities linked to a contact

This feature empowers you to manage opportunities with precision in your sales workflows.

Action Name

Remove Opportunity

Action Description

When executed, the Remove Opportunity action deletes the specified opportunity or opportunities. You can choose to remove:

  • The opportunity that initiated the workflow
  • An opportunity found through a Find Opportunity step
  • All opportunities associated with a contact in a specific pipeline

Once an opportunity is removed, it is no longer visible, so use this action with care.

Action Details

Value Name and Description

  • Action Name: Assign a unique label to this step in your workflow (e.g., "Remove Opportunity"). This is mandatory.

  • Opportunity to Be Removed: Specify which opportunity or opportunities to remove. Options include:

    • All opportunities in a specified pipeline
    • The opportunity that triggered this workflow
    • An opportunity found via a preceding Find Opportunity step
  • Pipeline (if removing all): If you opt to remove all opportunities, you must specify the pipeline from which these opportunities will be removed. This is mandatory only if removing all.

Important: Once an opportunity is removed, it can be restored within a maximum of 2 months. If you select "All opportunities linked to the contact," every opportunity associated with that contact is removed from the system.

Example

If a contact decides not to proceed with a business deal or a project is canceled, use this action to automatically remove their opportunity from the pipeline. This ensures your pipeline reflects only active opportunities.

Suggested Triggers

Consider pairing the Remove Opportunity action with these triggers:

  • Tag Added: Automatically remove an opportunity when a tag indicating disinterest or project cancellation is added to the contact.
  • Form Submission: Use this trigger to remove an opportunity if a customer submits a form indicating they are no longer interested.
  • Appointment Cancelled: Automatically remove the opportunity if a key appointment related to it is canceled.
  • Opportunity Status Change: Trigger this action to remove an opportunity if its status is changed to "Lost."

Additional Notes

Utilize this action to ensure your pipelines remain free from irrelevant or outdated opportunities. Remember, once an opportunity is removed, it can be recovered within a maximum of 2 months, but only individually, not in bulk. Use this feature thoughtfully to maintain an efficient workflow.
