OAuth2 Support for Custom Webhooks in Stack

Overview

OAuth2 is a robust and widely adopted authorization method, especially favored for securing large APIs. By utilizing OAuth2, you can seamlessly integrate Stack with a variety of APIs, including those from Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, and many more. These integrations significantly expand the capabilities and possibilities within your Stack platform.

How It Works

When setting up a Custom Webhook in Stack, you have the option to choose OAuth2 as your authorization method. Here's how you can manage this process:

  1. Select OAuth2 Authorization: In the Custom Webhook action, choose OAuth2 as your preferred authorization option.

  2. Manage Tokens:

    • Navigate to the "Global Workflow Settings" within your Stack account.
    • Locate the "Manage Tokens" section to oversee your tokens.
  3. Token Management:

    • Click on "Manage Tokens" to open a new window displaying all your tokens.
    • From here, you can easily update or delete tokens as needed.

By following these steps, you can efficiently handle OAuth2 tokens, ensuring secure and effective API integrations within Stack.
