Trigger Name

Video Tracking

Trigger Description

This trigger activates when a lead watches a specified percentage of a video. For this to work, the viewer must already be a contact in your CRM.

How to Configure

Before setting up your Video Tracking trigger, consider reading our article on Tracking Viewer Progress on a Funnel Hosted Video.

Prepare Your Video

  • Encoding: Ensure your video is properly encoded for tracking.
  • Progress Bar: Disable the progress bar in the video settings to ensure accurate tracking.
  • Redirect for Unregistered Visitors: Create a blank page with a form to capture visitor information before they watch the video. This helps track new users who aren't yet in your system.

Create a New Workflow

  1. Navigate to the Workflow Builder: Start by accessing the workflow builder in your Stack account.

  2. Add the Video Tracking Trigger:

    • Select the Video Event Tracking Trigger from the list.
    • Specify the percentage (e.g., 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100%) that will activate the workflow.
  3. Define Actions:

    • Add actions such as sending follow-up emails or SMS messages based on viewer engagement.

Video Tracking Filters

The Video Tracking trigger includes three primary filters:

  • Funnel: The funnel where the video is embedded.
  • Video: The specific video you want to track.
  • Video Duration (%): The percentage of the video watched that triggers the workflow.
