The Note Changed trigger activates a workflow when a note on a contact's profile is modified. This allows you to automate actions such as notifying team members, updating contact details, or tagging contacts based on the new information.

How to Configure

To set up the Note Changed trigger, follow these steps:

  1. Workflow Trigger Name: Assign a name to the trigger for easy identification.
    This is a required field.

  2. Filters: Refine the conditions under which the workflow activates:

    • Doesn't Have Tag: The workflow triggers only if the contact does not have a specified tag.
      This is optional.
    • Has Tag: The workflow triggers only if the contact has a specified tag.
      This is optional.

Example

Here's an example of how you might configure this trigger:

  • Workflow Trigger Name: Note Changed
  • Filters:
    • Has Tag: Important Client

Example Workflow

When a note is changed on a contact record, you can automate the following actions:

  • Notify Account Manager: Automatically send an internal notification to the assigned account manager, prompting them to review the changes made to the note on an important client's profile.

  • Update Task: Create or update a task for the relevant team member to take appropriate follow-up action based on the modified note content.

  • Log Change: Record the note change in a specific log or update the CRM to maintain a history of the modification.
