Overview
The Internal Notification Action in Stack allows you to create and send notifications to specific users or teams within your organization. These notifications are triggered by defined events or conditions in workflows, ensuring your team stays informed about important activities and tasks.

The Internal Notification Action sends in-app notifications to users based on specific triggers within a workflow. You can choose from the following channels to deliver these notifications:
- Email: Send notifications to a user's email.
- Notification: Display notifications on the notification icon.
- SMS: Send notifications to a user's phone number.

Step-by-Step Guide

Choose the Action Type:
Select "Internal Notification" from the list of available actions. -
Name Your Action:
Enter a descriptive name for the action, such as "Internal Notification - SMS". -
Select Type of Notification:
Choose between Email, Notifications, and SMS as the channel for the notification.-
Email:
- Select Email to send an email to the user's email address.
- Specify the "From" name, "From" email, and Subject. If left blank, default values will be used.
- Alternatively, select a premade template and compose the message to be sent.

Notification:
- This option sends a notification that appears on the notification icon.
- Specify a title and message for the notification.
- Choose a redirect location, which is where the user will be directed upon clicking the notification.

SMS:
- Send a notification to the user's phone number.
- Choose a template or write a custom SMS, with the option to attach files.

Trigger Links:
Add trigger links in the notes using the "Trigger Links" icon. -
Recipients:
Specify individual users, user roles (e.g., all admins), or specific teams to receive the notification.
Example
Scenario: You want to notify your sales team via Email whenever a new lead comes from the Facebook channel.
- Create Workflow Trigger: Set up a workflow trigger for when a new contact is created with the tag "FB".
- Add Contact to the Opportunity Pipeline: Ensure the contact is added to the appropriate pipeline.
- Assign to a User: Assign the contact to a user in the sales team.
- Select Internal Notification with Email as Channel: Choose Email as the notification channel.
Notification Content:
- Subject: "New Lead Added"
- Body: "A new lead with a value of
{{lead.value}}has been added. Please review the lead details immediately."
Save and Activate the Workflow: Once activated, your sales team will automatically receive a notification whenever the specified condition is met.
