Setting Up Your Domain or Subdomain for Funnels and Websites in Stack
Adding a domain to your Stack account enables you to create and utilize website and funnel functionalities. A domain is your web address, such as a root domain like mydomain.com or a subdomain like www.mydomain.com. To get started, you'll need to establish a domain with a registrar such as Cloudflare or GoDaddy. Once your domain is set up, you can integrate it into Stack for use.
Note: This guide covers manual domain configuration. For automated setup using Domain Connect, refer to the Domain Connect guide.

Configuring Domains for Funnels and Websites
DNS Setup: Add an A Record or a CNAME Record
To set up your domain, you'll need to adjust DNS settings with your domain registrar. Here are two methods you can use:
CNAME Record
- Add a CNAME record for your subdomains with the value
sites.ludicrous.cloud.
A Record
- Alternatively, add an A record for your root domain or subdomain, directing it to
162.159.140.166.
Note: If using Cloudflare, set the Proxy status to DNS only, as Stack does not support Cloudflare Proxy.
After updating your DNS settings, it may take up to 24 hours for changes to propagate.
Adding a Domain/Subdomain in Stack
- Navigate to Settings in the left navigation menu.
- Go to Domains and click the + Add button.
- For root domains (e.g.,
mydomain.com):- Enter your domain in the Domain URL field.
- Click Add record manually.
- The system will automatically add the
wwwsubdomain and enable a 301 redirect fromwwwto the root domain.
- For subdomains (e.g.,
offer.mydomain.com):- Enter your subdomain in the Domain URL field.
- Click Add record manually.
Tip: To set a default page for your domain (e.g., domain.com instead of domain.com/home), go to Settings > Domains > Edit Domain.

- Select Delete and confirm your choice.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
SSL Error
An SSL error indicates a problem with the SSL certificate or configuration. Ensure only one DNS record is set up per domain/subdomain.
"CNAME / A record not found" Error
This error suggests improper DNS setup. Verify your DNS records with the correct domain host.
404 Error
A 404 error means the requested page isn't found. Ensure a default page is set for your domain and that paths match between your domain settings and your funnel/website.
Cloudflare Proxy Issues
If experiencing issues with Cloudflare domains, ensure the proxy status is set to "DNS Only."
