Capture Contacts with Partial Survey Completion in Stack
When using Stack's survey feature, you can gather and store contact information progressively. This ensures that even if a survey isn't fully completed, you can still collect valuable contact data.
Partial Contact Creation
With Stack, you can automatically save contact details during a survey, even if the participant exits before finishing all the slides. This feature allows you to capture leads as soon as any part of the survey is completed.
Slide Logic Compatibility
This functionality works alongside slide logic, allowing contact creation even when participants skip slides based on their responses. However, there are some limitations to be aware of.
Easy Setup
Setting up partial contact creation is straightforward and can be done directly within the survey builder. This feature enhances your ability to gather and retain important contact information throughout the survey process.
How to Enable and Use Partial Completion
- Navigate to Sites > Survey > Builder and select Add Survey.
- In the Survey Builder, go to Options and toggle on Create Contact on Partial Submission.
- Ensure that contact information fields are placed on the first slide to create a contact record.
- As the survey respondent fills out the first slide and clicks Next, a contact is created, even if the survey isn't fully completed.
Known Limitations of Partial Completion
While this feature is powerful, there are some limitations to consider:
-
Skipping to the Last Slide: If the survey logic skips directly to the last slide, partial contact creation will not occur. The system treats this as a final submission, bypassing partial submission functionality.
-
Skipping to the Second-to-Last Slide: If the survey skips to the second-to-last slide, contact information will not be updated. The contact is only finalized and updated upon the final submission.
To maximize the effectiveness of this feature, it is recommended to place basic contact information fields at the beginning of the survey and avoid skipping directly to the last or second-to-last slides.
