How to Generate a QR Code​

Choose Type​

Start by selecting the type of QR code you wish to create. Options include:

  • URL: Redirects to a website.
  • Text: Displays a message.
  • Email: Opens a pre-filled email draft.
  • Phone Number: Initiates a call.

Each type is designed for specific use cases, so choose the one that matches your needs.

Enter Information​

After selecting the type, enter the necessary details. For instance:

  • For a URL QR code, input the website address.
  • For a contact QR code, provide the relevant contact information.

Double-check your entries, as you can't modify the information once the QR code is generated.

Customize​

Personalize your QR code's appearance with the following options:

  • Color: Adjust the foreground and background colors.
  • Shape & Form: Alter the design of the QR code’s dots and corners.
  • Logo: Embed a logo in the center.
  • Page Background: Choose a background to enhance visibility.

A real-time preview will help you ensure the design meets your expectations.

Preview & Download​

Once satisfied with the customization, review your QR code to confirm the details and design. Click the Download QR Code button to save it in your preferred format: PNG, SVG, or PDF. Choose the format based on your intended use.

Save for Later​

To keep your QR code for future use, click Save. You can access and download saved QR codes anytime from the QR Listing section.

Available Formats​

  • PNG: Ideal for digital use, offering high quality but may lose sharpness when resized.
  • SVG: Perfect for printing, as it's scalable without quality loss. Resize your SVG QR codes freely.
  • PDF: Suitable for printing on A4 paper, converted from PNG.

Cropped QR Codes and Transparent PNGs​

QR codes without a background, header, or footer are automatically trimmed for a cleaner look.

For seamless integrations, generate PNG QR codes with 100% transparency by adjusting the background color alpha slider to 0% opacity in the QR Code Builder.

  1. What format should I use?

    • PNG: Best for websites and social media.
    • SVG: Ideal for professional printing. Resize easily without quality loss.

  2. Why is my QR code cropped?

    • If no background, header, or footer is added, extra space is automatically removed.

  3. Where can I locate my saved QR codes?

    • Find them in the QR Codes section. Navigate to the top menu and click on QR Codes to see your saved items with unique identifiers for easy retrieval and downloading.

  4. Are there any limitations on MacBook and Safari?

    • Some users may notice lower PNG quality in Safari due to rendering limitations. SVG is recommended for better results. Older Safari versions might not support all features; using Google Chrome or Firefox can enhance the experience. Improvements for Safari compatibility are underway.
