How to Create an Exit-Intent Pop-Up in Stack

An exit-intent pop-up is a strategic tool that appears when a visitor is about to leave your webpage. It detects when a user is moving their cursor toward the browser's close button or switching tabs and triggers a pop-up with an offer, lead capture form, or call to action. This can be a powerful way to:

  • Reduce bounce rates
  • Capture leads before they leave
  • Offer last-minute deals or incentives
  • Improve conversion rates

With Stack, you can easily create an exit-intent pop-up to boost engagement and retain potential leads.

Step 1: Create a Contact Form

First, you'll need a contact form. You can either create a new one or use an existing template that suits your needs.

Step 2: Add the Form to a Pop-Up

  1. Access the Funnel or Website Builder

    • Navigate to the Sites section and choose either Funnels or Websites.
    • Select the specific funnel or page where you want the exit-intent pop-up to appear.
  2. Design Your Pop-Up

    • Open the funnel or website editor.
    • Click on Pop-ups from the top menu.
    • Click + New Pop-up, give it a name, and start designing your pop-up.
  3. Integrate Your Form

    • Drag a Form element into the pop-up.
    • Choose the form you created earlier.
    • Customize the pop-up design to align with your branding.

Step 3: Test & Publish

  1. Preview the Funnel Pages

    • Move your cursor towards closing the page or switching tabs to test the pop-up functionality.
  2. Make Adjustments

    • If necessary, adjust the design, content, or triggers of your pop-up.
  3. Publish the Funnel/Page

    • Click Save and Publish to make your changes live.

By following these steps, you can effectively utilize exit-intent pop-ups in Stack to enhance user engagement and capture valuable leads.
