Hosted Video Player for Funnels

Enhance your funnel experience with Stack's new Hosted Video Player. This feature allows you to upload and stream videos with ease, offering a variety of playback options to suit your needs.

Using the Hosted Video Feature

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Add a Video Element:

    • Start by adding a video element to your funnel.
  2. Configure Video Settings:

    • Click on the video element and navigate to Video Settings on the left panel.
    • Scroll down to Video Type and select Hosted Video.
  3. Select or Upload a Video:

    • Click on Select Video to access your Media Library.
    • If your desired video isn't uploaded yet, click Upload to add it. Ensure your video is in a mainstream format and under 4GB.
  4. Encoding the Video:

    • Once uploaded, double-click the video file to begin encoding. This process is necessary for enabling video quality options and tracking.

    Note: If encoding fails, you can retry by reselecting the video. Videos processing for over a day will automatically be marked as failed.

Playback Control Toggles

Autoplay

Allow Play/Pause

  • Enable or disable the ability for viewers to play or pause the video.

Allow Playback Speed Control

  • Allow viewers to adjust the playback speed of the video.

Show Pending Time

  • Display the remaining time of the video.

Show Full-Screen Toggle

  • Provide an option for viewers to watch the video in full-screen mode.

Show Progress Bar

  • Decide whether to show or hide the progress bar and disable seeking.

Redirect Unregistered Visitors

  • Redirect visitors who are not registered or have not filled out an opt-in form to another page. This ensures you gather necessary viewer information before they watch the video.

Troubleshooting: Encoded Video Not Selectable

If your video is marked as "encoded" but cannot be selected, try these steps:

  1. Wait a Few Minutes: The encoding process might still be running in the background.
  2. Refresh the Page: Reload the funnel editor or Media Library to update the status.
  3. Retry Encoding: Reselect the file in the Media Library to initiate a new encoding attempt.
  4. Check File Format and Size: Ensure your video is in a supported format (e.g., .mp4) and is under 4GB.
