Understanding Funnel Paths in Stack
When working with funnels in Stack, it's essential to understand the three levels of paths associated with any funnel. Each path serves a unique purpose and can be configured to optimize your funnel's performance.
Funnel URL
The Funnel URL is the primary URL dedicated to a funnel. This URL is configured within the Settings and is designed to always load the first step of your funnel. It's your go-to link for directing users to the start of your funnel journey.
Step URL
Each step within your funnel has its own Step URL. This URL loads the specific page associated with that step and can be configured from the Publishing tab. It's useful for directing traffic to particular stages of your funnel.
Page URL
The Page URL will become particularly useful with the upcoming A/B testing feature. Although currently, each step can only contain one page, once A/B testing is launched, you'll be able to configure and manage traffic distribution based on the URL for each page. This configuration will be accessible via the Gear icon next to the Edit page button, opening the page's settings modal.
Upcoming Feature: Split Testing
Note: This feature is coming soon!
With split testing, you'll have the flexibility to optimize your funnel's performance by directing traffic to different pages within a step. For example, if you publish a Step URL in a Facebook ad, the backend will recognize the step and, based on your traffic configuration, redirect users to one of the page URLs within that step.
- Step URL → Page 1 URL or Page 2 URL
Stay tuned for more updates on this feature as it becomes available!
