Automated Email Notifications for Form and Survey Submissions in Stack

When you enable this feature, Stack can automatically send a response to the individual who submits a form. Additionally, you can opt to notify your internal team members.

How to Activate Email Notifications

These instructions also apply to surveys within Stack.

Steps to Activate

  1. Navigate to Sites > Forms > Form Builder in your Stack account.
  2. Either add a new form or select an existing form from the list where you wish to enable the auto-responder.
  3. In the upper left corner of the form editor, locate and click the Bell icon to access notification settings.
  4. You will see two options:
    • Email Notification: Sends you an email when someone fills out the form.
    • Auto-Responder: Sends an automated message to the person who submits the form. Toggle this option to activate it.
  5. Complete the following fields:
    • Subject: Enter the subject line for the automatic email.
    • Reply-To Email: Specify the email address that will receive any replies to the automated email.
    • Sender Name: This defaults to the location's name if left blank, but you can customize it to display a different name in the email.
  6. Click Save to apply these settings, and then click Save again in the upper right to update the form.

Best Practice

After saving the new settings, click Preview in the upper right corner and fill out the form to ensure the feature is functioning correctly.
