We're excited to introduce the Email Validation feature in Stack's Forms and Surveys module. This new feature lets participants validate their email addresses directly within the form or survey, improving data integrity and enhancing the user experience.

Email Validation Button

A Verify Email button now appears next to the email input field in forms and surveys. This button becomes visible once a user enters a well-formatted email address. Clicking it sends a validation code to the provided email, starting the validation process.

Validation Code

When users click the Verify Email button, they receive a unique validation code via email. They must enter this code back into the form or survey to confirm their email address. This step ensures the email is both valid and accessible, enhancing data accuracy.

How It Works

  1. Email Entry: Users enter their email address in the designated field of a form or survey.
  2. Validation Prompt: Once a valid email is entered, the Verify Email button appears next to the email input field.
  3. Send Validation Code: Clicking this button sends a unique validation code to the user's email.
  4. Enter Validation Code: Users must input this code back into the form or survey to verify their email.
  5. Validation Confirmation: Once the correct code is entered, the email is verified and marked in the submission data.

FAQs

Q1: Why should I use the email validation feature in my forms and surveys?

Using email validation ensures that the email addresses you collect are valid, reducing fake or incorrect submissions. This improves the quality of your leads and ensures more reliable data for your marketing campaigns.

Q2: How does the email validation process improve data accuracy?

By requiring users to validate their email addresses with a unique code sent to their inbox, you can confirm that the provided emails are real and accessible. This reduces the chances of collecting inaccurate or fake emails, leading to more precise and effective marketing efforts.

Q3: Can I customize the validation email that is sent to users?

Currently, the validation email is standardized for consistency and reliability. However, future updates may include customization options. Stay tuned for updates on this feature.

Q4: How do I enable the email validation feature in my forms and surveys?

To enable email validation, go to the form or survey settings within the module and toggle the email validation option in the email field. The Verify Email button will then appear next to email input fields in your forms and surveys.

Q5: What happens if a user fails to validate their email address?

If a user does not complete the email validation process, their submission may not be accepted. This ensures that only submissions with validated emails are collected, maintaining data integrity.

Q6: How can I track which email addresses have been validated?

The system includes a “Verified Email” field in form and survey submissions. When an email is successfully validated, it will be marked as “Yes” under this field, allowing you to easily identify verified emails.
