Step 1: Configure a Workflow Trigger
- Set up a workflow trigger to notify you when a conversation starts via the chat widget.
- Use the trigger event "Customer Replied" with the filter "Reply Channel" set to "Chat Widget."
Note: Each reply channel requires its own trigger. For example, if you want to use Google Messages, you'll need to set up a new trigger for that specific event.
Step 2: Set Up Notifications
- Click on the
+button. - Search for "Internal notifications."
- Choose from the following options:
- Email: Send an email to specific users or a custom email address.
- In-app notification: Send a notification through the web or mobile app to specific users or everyone.
- SMS: Send an SMS to specific users or a custom number.
Quick Tip: Use the {{message.body}} custom value in your notifications to display the message entered by the user in the chat widget.
