Chat Widget: Business Office Hours in Live Chat

Enhance your customer support experience with Stack's Chat Widget by setting up business office hours for live chat. Here's how you can manage your availability and ensure seamless communication with your clients.

Setting Up Business Office Hours

  1. Navigate to Chat Widget Settings

    • Go to Sites > Chat Widget in your Stack dashboard.
    • Choose Live Chat as your chat widget type.
  2. Configure Business Office Hours

    • In the Chat Widget settings, find the Chat Window tab.
    • Here, you'll see the option for Business Office Hour Setup.
  3. Customize Your Welcome Messages

    • Use the Outside Office Hours Welcome Message to set a custom message for when you're unavailable. The default message is: We are currently offline.
  4. Define Your Availability

    • Set multiple time ranges for your business hours from Sunday to Saturday. Ensure there are no overlapping times.
    • Easily copy time settings to multiple days, similar to the Calendar availability feature.
  5. Timezone Settings

    • The business hours will follow your business's location timezone.

How It Works

  • When a customer submits a contact form outside of your business hours, the chat will automatically close.
  • If a customer reaches out during your set business hours, they will see the message from the Live Chat Welcome Message field.
  • Outside of business hours, a contact details form will be sent to the customer, allowing them to leave a message.

By configuring your business office hours, you can manage client expectations and provide timely responses during your available times.
