Getting Started with Stack Webchat for Shopify​

Follow these steps to add Stack's chat widget to your Shopify website:

Obtain the Embed Code​

  1. Navigate to Sites in your Stack dashboard.
  2. Go to Chat Widget.
  3. Click on Get Code to copy the embed code.

Add the Chat Widget to Your Shopify Site​

  1. Log in to Shopify: Access your Shopify account by logging in.

  2. Access the Online Store: From the Shopify dashboard, select the Online Store section.

  3. Edit Your Theme:

    • Choose the theme you wish to modify.
    • Click on the Actions button and select Edit code.

  4. Modify the theme.liquid File:

    • In the file list, find and select the Layout folder.
    • Open the theme.liquid file.

  5. Insert the Embed Code:

    • Locate the </body> tag within the theme.liquid file.
    • Paste the embed code just above this tag.

  6. Save Your Changes: Click the save button to apply your changes.

  7. Preview the Chat Widget: Refresh your website to see the chat widget in action. Make sure to test it to ensure everything is working smoothly.
