Creating a blog in Stack is a straightforward process. Follow the steps below to set up your blog and start publishing content.

Steps to Create a Blog

  1. Navigate to the Blog Section

    • Go to Sites and select Blog.
  2. Set Up Your New Blog

    • Add a Name: Choose a name for your blog that reflects its content or purpose.
    • Select a Domain and Add a Slug (Optional):
      • If your domain is abc.com, you can set the blog URL as abc.com/blog. The system will automatically append unique parameters if necessary.
      • For a subdomain like blog.abc.com, simply use the subdomain without needing a slug.
    • Add a Description: Write a brief description (around 250 characters) to enhance SEO.
  3. Understand URL Structures

    • Blog Post URL:
      • For a primary domain: abc.com/post/post-name
      • For a subdomain: blog.abc.com/post-name
    • Category URL:
      • For a primary domain: abc.com/blog/category/category-name
      • For a subdomain: blog.abc.com/category/category-name
    • Tag URL:
      • For a primary domain: abc.com/blog/tag/tag-name
      • For a subdomain: blog.abc.com/tag/tag-name
    • Author URL:
      • For a primary domain: abc.com/blog/author/author-name
      • For a subdomain: blog.abc.com/author/author-name
  4. Manage Your Blog Layout and Style

    • Once you have set up your blog, you'll be taken to a list view where you can create and edit blog posts.
    • Edit Blog Site Layout:
      • Choose from various layout designs.
      • Customize card appearance, including images, tags, headings, titles, descriptions, authors, and publish dates.
    • Manage Blog Pages:
      • Create new blog posts.
      • Delete existing blog posts as needed.
