Understanding User Permissions in Stack

In Stack, user roles at the sub-account level come with specific permissions that define what actions each role can perform. Here's a quick overview of these roles and their capabilities.

Sub-Account Level User Roles

Each user in a Stack sub-account can be assigned a role that determines their access and permissions. While the exact permissions can vary, here's a general idea of what each role typically includes:

  • Admin Role: Users with this role have comprehensive access to most features within the sub-account. They can manage settings, view and edit data, and perform administrative tasks.

  • User Role: This role is more limited compared to the Admin role. Users can access and interact with certain features but won't have the ability to change settings or manage other users.

To modify a user's role within a sub-account, navigate to:

  1. Settings: Access this through the main navigation menu.
  2. My Staff: Locate the section where all users are listed.
  3. Edit User: Click the pencil icon next to the user's name.
  4. User Roles: Scroll to find and expand this section to adjust the user's role as needed.

Understanding and managing user roles effectively ensures that everyone has the appropriate level of access to perform their tasks efficiently within Stack.
