When you purchase a domain through Stack, you can manage its DNS records directly within the platform.

What is Purchased Domain Configuration?​

Every domain comes with configuration settings known as DNS. When you purchase a domain through Stack, Stack acts as the domain registrar, allowing you to configure the domain without leaving the platform. This means you can easily add, edit, or remove DNS records like CNAME directly within Stack.

Where is Purchased Domain Configuration?​

To access your purchased domain settings, navigate to:

Subaccount > Settings > Domains > Purchased Domains

Configuration​

To configure your purchased domain, follow these steps:

  1. Click on Configure next to the domain you wish to manage. You'll have two main options:
    • Add Record: Add or edit existing DNS records.
    • Connect Domain: Link your domain to a feature in the Sites section, such as a website or store.

Configuration - DNS Records​

Within Stack, you can manage the following DNS records:

  • A
  • CNAME
  • AAAA
  • MX
  • TXT

Tip: Ensure you have only one A record when pointing a root domain. Multiple A records can cause DNS resolution conflicts.

Configuration - Connect Domain​

To connect your domain to a site:

  1. Click Connect This Domain.
  2. Select the desired site type (e.g., funnel, website, store, blog).
  3. Click Continue.
  4. Click Add Records.
  5. Choose the correct site subtype and click Proceed to complete the process.
