What is Multi-Select in Media Storage?

The Multi-Select feature in Stack's Media Storage allows you to choose multiple files or folders at once. This capability is designed to simplify bulk actions, enhancing your file management experience.

Benefits of Using Multi-Select

Efficient File Management:
Select multiple files simultaneously using checkmarks or by dragging your mouse across items. This makes handling large numbers of files much easier.

Bulk Actions:
Move, download, or delete selected files in a single operation, saving you time on repetitive tasks.

User-Friendly Interface:
Enter multi-select mode by dragging to select or using the “Select” option in the three-dot menu. Selected files are marked with a checkmark at the top left corner.

Multi-Select Media in Grid View

To select files in Grid View, click and drag your mouse across the files you wish to select, or use the “Select” option from the three-dot menu. Selected files and folders will display a checkmark.

In List View, use the checkboxes next to each file or folder to select multiple items.

Performing Multi-Select Bulk Actions

Once you've selected your files, you can move, download, or delete them in bulk using the corresponding buttons. Here are some key points to keep in mind:

  • You can download up to 100 files at a time.
  • Files larger than 2 GB will be skipped during multi-download and need to be downloaded individually.
  • While in multi-select mode, the “Rename” and “Get Link” options are disabled to simplify bulk actions.
