Important Updates for A2P 10DLC Messaging​

Shutdown of Unregistered 10DLC Messaging​

Starting July 5, 2023, all 10DLC phone numbers sending SMS and MMS messages to U.S. numbers must be registered under an approved campaign with your brand. Unregistered numbers will face increased blocking, culminating in a complete block of unregistered U.S.-bound messages after August 31, 2023.

Unregistered 10DLC Message Fee Increases​

AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon have raised per-message rates for unregistered traffic. Unregistered messages may also experience additional filtering or blocking. To avoid these issues, register your traffic for A2P 10DLC through the Stack Phone System Trust Center.

Sole Proprietor A2P 10DLC Registration Now Available​

Sole Proprietor Brand registration is now available for sending low-volume messages. Individuals or small businesses without a Tax ID (EIN) can find registration details in the FAQ. Depending on your messaging needs, choose between Low Volume Standard Brands (less than 6,000 messages per day) or Standard Brands (more than 6,000 messages per day).

New Requirements for A2P 10DLC Registrations​

As of January 26, 2023, new A2P Campaign registrations require a vetting process with a one-time campaign vetting fee. A2P 10DLC enables businesses to send Application-to-Person (A2P) messages via standard 10-digit long code (10DLC) numbers within the United States.

A2P 10DLC Pricing Overview​

A2P 10DLC involves two main fee categories: registration fees and per-message carrier fees. These fees are charged by carriers and passed through to customers without additional costs.

Registration Fees​

  • US A2P Sole Proprietor Brand: $4.41 one-time registration fee.
  • US A2P Low Volume Standard Brand: $4.41 one-time registration fee.
  • US A2P Standard Brand: $48.51 one-time registration fee, includes Secondary Vetting.
  • US A2P Campaign Use Case: $16.54 one-time registration fee.

Monthly Campaign Registration Fees:

  • Sole Proprietor (Starter): $2.21/month
  • Standard: $12/month
  • Low-volume mixed use: $1.70/month
  • Charity/Nonprofit: $3.30/month
  • Emergency Services: $5.50/month

Carrier Fees​

AT&T Carrier Fees​

  • Registered Messages:
    • SMS: $0.002 per segment
    • MMS: $0.0035 per message
  • Unregistered Messages (effective June 1, 2023):
    • SMS: $0.01 per segment
    • MMS: $0.015 per message

T-Mobile Carrier Fees (including Sprint)​

  • Registered Messages:
    • SMS: $0.003 per segment
    • MMS: $0.01 per message
  • Unregistered Messages (effective August 1, 2023):
    • SMS: $0.006 per segment
    • MMS: $0.015 per message

Verizon Wireless Carrier Fees​

  • Registered Messages:
    • SMS: $0.003 per segment
    • MMS: $0.005 per message
  • Unregistered Messages (effective July 1, 2023):
    • SMS: $0.01 per segment
    • MMS: $0.005 per message
