Brand Registration Guide and FAQs
Starting August 31, 2023, all A2P messages sent from unregistered ten-digit long code numbers (Local and National numbers) to US numbers will be blocked. To ensure smooth messaging, follow this guide to register your brand and campaigns with Stack.

Trust Center
The Trust Center in Stack helps improve customer engagement by increasing throughput and brand recognition. If you send SMS to US numbers, registering for A2P 10DLC (Application-to-Person 10-Digit Long Code) is required. The Trust Center guides you through brand and campaign registration to avoid message filtering.
Accessing the Trust Center
- Navigate to Settings > Phone Numbers > Trust Center.
- Click on Start Registering Now.
Registration Steps
Business Details
- Enter your business name exactly as shown on the CP 575.
- If your business registration document (EIN) was issued recently within the last 15 days, you may need to contact support for an identity status appeal.
- Select your business type from the dropdown menu.
- Input your business registration number (EIN must be a 9-digit number, e.g., 12-3456789).
- Choose your industry.
- Provide your business email and website URL.
- Select the regions where you operate and click Continue.
Business Address
- Enter the business address as shown on the CP 575.
- Ensure the street address is linked to your business.
- Enter the city name exactly as it appears on your tax listing.
- Provide the zip code and click Continue.
Authorized Representatives
- Enter the business email address of the authorized representative. Note that one email can be used for up to 5 brands.
- Select the country code and enter the phone number.
- Choose the job title for the authorized representative and click Continue.
Brand Details
- Business Use Case: Check the box to consent to registration charges and fees.
- Click Continue to proceed.
Once your brand is registered, proceed to campaign submission. Refer to the Campaign Submission Guide for detailed instructions.
Pricing for A2P Brand and Campaign
- A one-time registration fee of $4.41 USD applies.
- Monthly campaign fees range from $1.5 to $11.5 USD based on the campaign use case.
Creating a Messaging Service
Once your campaign is approved, Stack will automatically create the messaging service and link it to all available phone numbers in your account.

What is the prerequisite for A2P Standard registration?
You need to create a business profile with your EIN and additional business registration information.
Are there charges associated with Low Standard brand registration?
Yes, there is a one-time fee of $4.41 USD and a monthly campaign fee ranging from $1.5 to $11.5 USD.
What if I'm unsure about A2P 10DLC compliance?
If you're unsure, consider switching to Toll-Free numbers, which require simpler registration and are free.
Is messaging to Canada or other countries affected?
Currently, these changes apply only to US messaging. For other countries, check our country-specific SMS Guidelines.

A2P 10DLC is a framework introduced to regulate and improve the delivery of Application-to-Person text messages, addressing spam issues while ensuring legitimate business communication.
Does A2P 10DLC apply to all SMS types?

What if I can't complete registration in time?
Your SMS traffic will be blocked by carriers like AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon if registration is not completed.

Yes, fees are charged by carriers and The Campaign Registry for vetting brand and campaign applications.
Is there an alternative to A2P 10DLC?
Yes, you can switch to Toll-Free numbers, which require registration but are simpler and free.

- Opt-in processes now require express written consent with clear opt-out instructions.
- Privacy policies must not indicate that user data will be sold or shared for marketing.
- Unregistered 10DLC traffic is more expensive and filtered compared to registered traffic.
