Pause and Resume Subscriptions

The Pause and Resume Subscription feature in Stack offers you the flexibility to temporarily pause your subscription without the need to cancel it. This means you can maintain your account history and preferences, picking up right where you left off when you're ready. It's a convenient option designed to adapt to your changing needs.

How to Pause or Resume a Subscription

  1. Navigate to Subscriptions

    • Go to Payments > Subscriptions in your Stack account.
  2. Select the Subscription

    • From the list of subscriptions, find the one you wish to pause or resume.
    • Hover over the subscription and click the Three Dots menu.
  3. Choose Your Pause/Resume Preference

    • Indefinite Pause: This option allows you to pause the subscription without a time limit. You can resume it manually whenever you choose.
    • Custom Date: Set a specific date to automatically resume the subscription. This is helpful if you know the exact duration you need the pause. You can still manually resume the subscription at any time before the set date.

Invoice Behavior During Pause

While your subscription is paused, invoices will still be generated on each payment due date. You have two options for handling these invoices:

  • Mark as Void: Stop generating invoices during the pause period.
  • Draft Option: Keep invoices in draft mode, allowing you to send them to customers later if needed.

Resuming a Paused Subscription

To resume a paused subscription:

  1. Go back to the Three Dots menu next to the paused subscription.
  2. Click the Resume button.
  3. Confirm your selection in the popup that appears.

Your subscription will change from "Paused" to "Active," and you'll be back to enjoying your services without missing a beat.
