To enable the ability to assign separate owners for contacts and opportunities, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Settings in your Stack account.
  2. Locate the option labeled Allow different owners for contacts and its opportunities.
  3. Toggle this setting to On.

Functionality

Once enabled, you can assign different owners to contacts and opportunities. Here’s how it works:

  • Workflow Action (Coming Soon): Look out for an upcoming feature that will allow further customization and automation related to ownership settings.

Subsettings

You can further customize ownership updates with these subsettings:

  • Update Contact Follower Based on Opportunity Owner Change: Enable this to automatically update the contact follower when the opportunity owner changes.

  • Update Opportunity Follower Based on Contact Owner Change: Enable this to automatically update the opportunity follower when the contact owner changes.

How It Helps

  • Improved Customization: Customize ownership settings to align with your organization's unique structure and workflows.

  • Efficient Communication: Automatically update followers when ownership changes, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration across your team.

By decoupling owners for contacts and opportunities, you gain greater control and flexibility in managing your CRM with Stack.
