Editing Opportunities in Stack
Stack provides powerful tools to help you manage and update your sales opportunities efficiently. This guide will walk you through the steps to edit opportunities, ensuring your sales workflow remains streamlined and up-to-date.

Accessing the Opportunities Section
- Log in to your Stack account.
- Navigate to the Opportunities section from the sidebar menu.
Locating the Opportunity to Edit
- Within the Opportunities section, find the opportunity you want to update.
- Use search filters or browse through the list to locate the specific opportunity.
- Click on the name or title of the opportunity to open its details page.
Opening the Opportunity Details Page
- On the opportunity details page, you'll see fields with information about the opportunity.
- Update any necessary details such as the contact's name, contact information, opportunity value, and source.
- You can also change pipeline stages, owners, tags, or any custom fields associated with the opportunity.
Adding Notes and Attachments
- To add new notes or information, click on the Notes option in the left sidebar.
- All notes added here will also appear in the corresponding contact's notes.
Setting Tasks and Reminders
- For tasks or follow-up actions related to the opportunity, set tasks and reminders by accessing the sidebar.
- Assign tasks to yourself or team members, specifying due dates and priority levels.
- Similarly, you can add appointments in the same way.
- Tasks and appointments will also be visible on the contact's end.
Managing Pipeline Stages
- Adjust the pipeline stage of the opportunity to reflect its current status in the sales process.
- Move the opportunity through different stages as it progresses towards closure, updating its status accordingly.
Managing Opportunity Status
- Drag and drop the opportunity to update its status at the bottom of the page.
- Possible statuses include Open, Won, Lost, and Abandoned. The default status for a new opportunity is Open.
- If marking an opportunity as lost, you can also add a reason for the loss.
