Using Invoices in the Stack Mobile App

Discover the latest updates to the Invoices feature in the Stack mobile app! Now, you can effortlessly create invoices from the dedicated Invoices section or the Point-of-Sale (POS) section. This streamlined process is designed to make your invoicing experience quick and intuitive.

What's New​

New Invoice Dashboard​

  • Overview of Earnings: Easily view your earnings—both collected and pending—at a glance.

Invoice Listing​

  • Clean Interface: Access all your invoices in any state (draft, due, paid, etc.) whether created on web or mobile.

Invoice Card Interactions​

  • Tap: Perform the primary action for that invoice, like editing a draft.
  • Long Press: Access all available actions, such as converting to a template or recording a payment.
  • Left Swipe: Reveal key actions like recording a payment or editing the invoice.

Improved Invoice Builder Flow​

  • 4-Step Process: Create an invoice in under 45 seconds:
    1. Initial Details: Enter recipient, start date, due date, and frequency (for recurring invoices).
    2. Items: Select from catalog or add custom items.
    3. Terms and Notes: Review and set terms.
    4. Review and Send: Finalize details and apply discounts.

Real-Time Tax Selection​

  • Tax Management: Link taxes to products via the Products module on mobile or Payment settings on web. Choose relevant taxes while creating an invoice.

Partial Quantity Support​

  • Precision Quantities: Enter quantities with up to two decimal places (e.g., 1.25, 6.83).

Create Invoices with Templates​

  • Template Usage: Quickly generate invoices using saved templates.

POS Transaction to Invoice​

  • Conversion Feature: Start a POS transaction, then convert it to an invoice with pre-filled details. Adjust due dates and terms before sending.

How It Works​

  1. Open the Stack Mobile App: Tap the hamburger menu in the top left corner.
  2. Navigate to Invoices: View widgets showing collected and pending amounts. Access your invoice list, created on mobile or web.
  3. Create a New Invoice: Tap the floating + button. Choose between a one-time or recurring invoice.
  4. Enter Initial Details: Fill in the recipient, start date, and due date. Set payment frequency for recurring invoices.
  5. Add Items: Select from your product catalog or add custom items. Adjust quantities and select applicable taxes.
  6. Review Terms and Notes: Set terms, including late fee details.
  7. Finalize and Send: Adjust items, recipient, and discounts. Preview the invoice, then send via email, SMS, or both.

To record a payment, navigate to the relevant invoice, swipe left, and tap "Record Payment." Choose from tap to pay, cash, cards on file, or manual entry.
