Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I get notified when someone registers for an event?
A: Currently, the system does not notify hosts when someone registers for an event. Attendees receive email and in-app notifications, but hosts will not be alerted. If tracking registrations is crucial, consider using a custom registration form and workflow to trigger notifications.
Q: How can a member cancel their attendance for an event?
A: Although there isn't a "cancel registration" button, members can go to the Events tab, access the hamburger menu, select the event, and use the three-dot menu to choose Delete. This will remove the event from their personal calendar view without notifying the organizer.
Q: Can I restrict event access to specific groups or members?
A: Yes! When creating an event, you can control who can see and attend it. Restrict access based on membership in a specific course, participation in a private channel, or a user’s engagement level within the group. This ensures that the right people have access to the right experiences.
Q: Can I make an event a paid one?
A: Absolutely, you can set up paid events by assigning a registration fee during event creation. Choose the currency and decide if the price applies to a single event or a series of recurring events. Payment handling and access settings are integrated into the event setup process.
