Advanced Course Unlock Options in Communities

We've introduced a versatile course unlocking system in Stack, allowing community admins to tailor how members access courses. This feature lets you align access rules with your community's engagement model and monetization strategy.

Course Unlock Options

You can choose from the following course access options:

1. All Members

  • Open Access: All community members can enroll without restrictions.

2. Level Unlock

  • Engagement-Based Access: Members must reach a specific leaderboard level to access the course.
  • Encourages Participation: This option promotes active engagement within the community.

3. Buy Now

  • Purchase Access: Offer courses as one-time purchases or subscriptions.
  • Instant Availability: Members gain immediate access upon purchase completion.

4. Time Unlock

  • Scheduled Access: Courses become available after a set duration from a member’s joining date.
  • Ideal for Structured Learning: Perfect for drip content strategies or structured learning paths.

How to Set Up Course Access

To configure course unlock options, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Course Settings

    • Navigate to the community admin panel.
    • Select the course you want to configure.
  2. Choose an Unlock Option

    • Under Access Settings, select one of the four unlock options:
      • All Members: No additional settings required.
      • Level Unlock: Enter the required leaderboard level.
      • Buy Now: Set a price and choose payment options.
      • Time Unlock: Define the number of days after joining for access.
  3. Save Changes

    • Click Save to apply the settings. Members will see access restrictions based on your selected option.
