Using @Mentions and Tagging in Stack's Social Planner

What's New?​

Stack's Social Planner now supports adding @Mentions in your posts, enhancing your social media interactions. This feature is available for Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram.

  • @Mentions: Tag profiles by adding "@" followed by the correct ID to engage directly with other users.
  • Platform Specifics:
    • Facebook and LinkedIn: Only support tagging Pages.
    • Instagram: Supports tagging profiles.
  • Location Tagging: Available for both Facebook and Instagram posts.

When posting to multiple social channels, you'll have the option to customize your post for each platform. This customization allows you to search and tag users by name, followers, and social profile.

Benefits of Using @Mentions​

  • Boost Engagement: Increase interaction on your posts by directly engaging with other users.
  • Strategic Cross-Promotion: Brands and influencers can leverage @Mentions to promote each other's content.
  • Enhanced Searchability: On some platforms, @Mentions can improve how easily your content is found.

How to Use @Mentions in Stack​

  1. Navigate to Social Planner: Go to the Marketing section and select Social Planner.
  2. Create a New Post: Start crafting your new post.
  3. Select Social Channels: Choose the platforms you want to post on.
  4. Customize for Each Channel: If posting to multiple channels, enable the option to customize your post for each one.
  5. Add @Mentions: Type "@" followed by the username or profile ID to tag the desired user. You can search by username, followers, and social profile to ensure accuracy.

Important Notes​

  • @Mentions do not work with CSV uploads or other features like Review Posting and RSS Posting.
