How to Post PDFs as Photos in a LinkedIn Carousel Post Using Stack

With Stack's Social Planner, you can now transform your PDFs into engaging photo carousels on LinkedIn. This feature allows you to convert each page of a PDF into separate images, perfect for sharing on LinkedIn and other social platforms. LinkedIn PDF Carousels are an excellent way to captivate your audience and demonstrate your expertise.

Creating a LinkedIn Carousel Post

Here's how you can create a LinkedIn Carousel or Document Post using Stack:

  1. Access the Social Planner

    • Go to Marketing > Social Planner in your Stack account.
  2. Connect Your LinkedIn Account

    • Ensure your LinkedIn account, whether a page or profile, is connected.
  3. Compose a New Post

    • Click on New Post to open the post composer.
  4. Select Your Social Platforms

    • Choose LinkedIn and any other social platforms from the dropdown menu.
    • Add the content you wish to include in your post.
  5. Upload Your PDFs

    • Click the file upload icon, positioned between the image and video upload icons.
    • Upload one or more PDFs to create a LinkedIn carousel, or import photos to compile into a PDF for posting.
  6. Customize Your PDF

    • You can rename the PDF or add a watermark if needed.

Important Considerations

  • LinkedIn Limits: Each document can have up to 300 pages and must be under 100 MB.
  • Image Conversion: When PDFs are imported, they are converted into images. If you select Instagram, images will be automatically cropped to fit Instagram's aspect ratio.
  • Media Management: You can remove media by hovering over the media preview and clicking the 'X'.
  • Posting as PDF: If you choose to post as a PDF, all images are compiled into a PDF for LinkedIn.
