How to Find the RSS Feed

Finding RSS feeds can be a bit tricky, but here are some tips:

  • WordPress Sites: Add /feed to the end of the URL. For example, https://justinpot.com/feed.
  • Tumblr Sites: Append /rss to the URL, like https://example.tumblr.com/rss.
  • Blogger Sites: Add feeds/posts/default to the URL, such as example.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default.
  • Medium Publications: Insert /feed/ before the publication's name, turning medium.com/example-site into medium.com/feed/example-site.
  • YouTube Channels: Use the channel's URL as an RSS feed in your reader.

If these methods don't work, try viewing the webpage's source code:

  1. Right-click on an empty space on the website and select "View Page Source."
  2. Use Ctrl+F (Windows/Linux) or Command+F (Mac) to search for "rss" or "atom."
  3. Look for an RSS URL, then copy and paste it into your feed reader.

How to Create Posts Using RSS Feed

Follow these steps to automate your social posts using an RSS feed:

  1. Navigate to RSS Post:

    • Go to Marketing > Social Planner.
    • Click on New Post and select the RSS Post option.
  2. Add URL:

    • Enter the URL of the RSS feed. [Refer to the section above on finding RSS URLs.]
  3. Select Socials:

    • Choose the social media platforms where you want to post. Note: Twitter is not available due to API restrictions.
  4. Add Ending:

    • Use the "End with" option to append text, hashtags, or links to your posts.
  5. Update Time:

    • Set how often the feed should update, from every 5 minutes to once a day.
  6. Select Maximum Posts:

    • Decide how many unique posts to fetch each time, ranging from 1 to 5. For example, selecting '3' will pull the three most recent items from the RSS feed for posting.

Each item fetched will be published once as its own social post, ensuring fresh content for your audience.
