How to Pause or Cancel a Scheduled Email in Stack
With Stack, you have the flexibility to pause or cancel your scheduled email campaigns, including A/B tests. This feature provides you with full control over your campaigns, allowing you to make changes or corrections before they are sent.
Applicable Campaigns
This functionality is available for all scheduled campaigns, batch schedules, and A/B test campaigns that have been set up.
When to Use This Feature
Pausing a Campaign
- When to Pause: If you need more time to review or make last-minute changes to your email campaign before it goes live, pausing is your best option.
- Benefit: Pausing allows you to resume the campaign at any time, giving you the flexibility to ensure everything is perfect.
Canceling a Campaign
- When to Cancel: If you decide not to send the campaign at all, perhaps due to spotting critical errors or the campaign becoming irrelevant, canceling is the way to go.
- Benefit: Canceling stops all future sends, including any batches or automated RSS emails, ensuring no unintended emails are sent.
Steps to Pause or Cancel a Scheduled Email

Navigate to Email Campaigns:
- Go to Marketing > Email Marketing > Campaigns in Stack's navigation menu.

Locate the Scheduled Campaign:
- Find the campaign you wish to pause or cancel under the "Scheduled" status.

Open the Campaign Options:
- Click on the three dots (menu icon) next to the scheduled campaign.

Choose the Action:
- Pause: Select this to temporarily stop the campaign.
- Note: If resumed after the original scheduled time, the email will send immediately. If resumed before the scheduled time, it will send as originally planned.
- Cancel: Select this to completely stop the campaign. This action will prevent it from being sent, including any RSS or batch emails.
- Pause: Select this to temporarily stop the campaign.
