Redirection Links in Countdown Timers

Table of Contents

Redirection links are dynamic links that change automatically based on the status of a countdown timer. Here's how they work:

  • Active Timer: When the timer is still counting down, users are directed to a live offer or event page.
  • Expired Timer: Once the timer expires, users are redirected to a different page, such as an "Offer Expired" or "Waitlist" page.

Why Use Them?

Countdown timers aren't always obviously clickable, so it's beneficial to use redirection links in visible ways. Consider attaching them to buttons, using clear calls-to-action like "Click here," or linking them to images.

These links are especially handy when using a timer in a builder outside of Stack, allowing you to easily copy and use the link across different elements.

Countdown Timer

  1. Navigate to Marketing -> Countdown Timer.
  2. Click Copy Link to get the redirection link.

  1. Go to Settings within the Email Builder.
  2. Click Copy Redirection Link.

Funnels, Websites, Stores

For pages with a timer element, the redirection to an expired page is pre-configured. This functions like a minute timer, ensuring the timer doesn't restart with each refresh and redirects to the expiry page URL when time runs out.

How to Create a Timer with Redirection

  1. Go to Marketing -> Countdown Timer.
  2. Set the Active Link for where users should be directed before the timer expires.
  3. Set the Expired Link for where users should go after the timer expires.
  4. Save your timer after configuring its properties, such as the expiration time.

Your timer will now automatically redirect users to the appropriate link based on whether the offer is active or expired.

FAQs
