Accessing Audience Controls
In Stack's campaign creation flow, the second step is the Budget and Audience section. Here, you'll find two key components:
- Budget: For more details, refer to Campaign Budget Definition.
- Audience Controls: This section is crucial for defining your target audience through geographic locations and intended audience categories.
Managing Geographic Locations
To refine your target audience based on location, follow these steps:
-
Search Locations: Enter a city, town, state, country, or specific address in the 'Search Locations' field. Select your desired location from the dropdown list, which will also display it on the adjacent map.
-
Set Radius: Once a location is selected, adjust the audience consideration radius using the slider next to the location. This option is available for specific addresses and smaller areas, but not for larger regions like cities or countries.
-
Include or Exclude: Use the dropdown next to the radius to choose whether to "Include" or "Exclude" the audience in that area. Selecting "Exclude" will mark the location in red on the map, indicating it's not part of the target audience.
-
Remove Location: To delete a location from your audience group, click the cross icon next to the selected location.
Understanding Intended Audience Categories
Stack offers three types of intended audience categories to enhance your ad targeting:
-
Target Interests: Focus on new customers by selecting interests, language, gender, or age range. Choose from a dropdown of interests related to specific niches or industries. Multiple selections are possible for precise targeting.
-
Lookalike Audiences: Reach new people similar to your existing customers. This audience type uses a custom audience as a source to find similar potential customers. Note that support for lookalike audiences may be limited for Special Ad categories. You can select from a list of lookalike audiences imported from your connected ad account.
-
Retargeting: Engage with people who have previously interacted with your brand on Meta platforms. Select from a dropdown of retargeting audiences created or imported from your ad account to focus your campaign on these familiar users.
Important Notes:
- You can choose up to 15 lookalike and 15 retargeting audiences.
- Audiences marked as "Ready" are eligible for selection and effective campaign use. If an audience is "Not Ready," it cannot be selected, and a tooltip will explain why.
- Combining all three or any two audience types is possible but may significantly narrow your audience size, potentially affecting campaign performance.
