The QuickBooks integration in Stack includes a handy automation feature that sends a review request whenever a contact's first invoice is fully paid (when the balance reaches $0). This process operates independently of any manual actions or workflow automations you might have set up for sending review requests.

How It Works

The automatic review request is a built-in feature of the QuickBooks integration. It does not rely on Stack's workflow triggers or actions. Specifically, the workflow trigger for "Invoice Paid" only applies to invoices paid directly through Stack, not those paid in QuickBooks.

What is the QuickBooks Automatic Review Request?

A review request in Stack sends a prebuilt message, either via email or SMS, to a contact, inviting them to review the service provider. The QuickBooks integration allows you to connect Stack with QuickBooks, facilitating the exchange of certain information. This integration includes an automation that sends a review request to a contact when they pay their first invoice down to $0.

Why Use Automatic Review Requests?

Asking for reviews is crucial for small businesses, yet many do not ask frequently enough. The ideal moment to request a review is immediately after a transaction is completed. By integrating with QuickBooks, you can automate this process, ensuring a review request is sent as soon as the first invoice is fully paid.

Managing Automatic Review Requests

You have the flexibility to enable or disable the automatic review request feature. This control was introduced in October 2024, allowing you to toggle the feature on or off based on your preferences.

To manage this setting:

  1. Navigate to Subaccount > Settings > Integrations > QuickBooks Integration.
  2. To disable, simply deselect "Send Review Requests for contacts".
  3. You can re-enable it at any time by selecting the option again.

This feature empowers you to manage how and when your contacts receive review requests, enhancing your customer engagement strategy.
