Setting Up Instagram Messaging Connections​

To manage your Instagram messaging connections, ensure your Instagram account is linked to a Facebook Page. This connection allows you to handle messages through Facebook Business Suite, Pages Manager App, Business Manager, Creator Studio, or any third-party apps you use.

Steps to Enable or Disable Instagram Messaging:​

  1. Access Your Instagram Profile:

    • Open your Instagram app and navigate to your business or creator profile.

  2. Open Settings:

    • Tap the menu icon (usually three horizontal lines or dots) and select Settings.

  3. Adjust Privacy Settings:

    • Go to Privacy and then select Messages.

  4. Manage Connected Tools:

    • Under Connected Tools, you'll find the option to toggle Allow Access to Messages on or off.

    • Toggle On: This setting allows anyone with approved access through connected platforms like Facebook Business Suite or Creator Studio to view and manage your Instagram DMs.

    • Toggle Off: Restricts viewing and managing of Instagram DMs solely to the Instagram app.

Feel free to revisit and adjust these settings whenever needed. You can also manage your messaging access directly through Facebook Business Suite and Creator Studio.
