Dedicated Email Sending Domains: Overview & Setup
Email marketing is a powerful tool for connecting with your customers and boosting sales. However, without the right setup, your emails might end up in spam folders. Using a dedicated sending domain helps ensure your emails appear to come directly from your business, enhancing deliverability and avoiding spam filters.
Important:
Dedicated sending domains are specifically for users within the LC Email system. If you're using a new domain for email, it's crucial to warm up the domain before sending emails to a large list to maintain good deliverability.

What is a Dedicated Sending Domain?
A dedicated sending domain allows your emails to appear as if they're sent from your brand, improving your reputation with email services. It's a straightforward process to set up a dedicated sending domain for your account.
By default, emails sent from Stack will include our email server's name in the "sent on behalf of" or "sent via" headers.
Configuring Dedicated Sending Domains
You can set up multiple sending domains and use them for various email actions like one-to-one emails, workflow emails, marketing campaigns, and invoices.
Step 1: Navigate to Email Services
- Go to Settings > Email Services.
- Click on the "Dedicated Domain and IP" button.
Step 2: Add Domain Information
- Click the "Add Domain" button to start configuring your sending domain.
- Enter the sub-domain you wish to use.
What is a Sub-Domain?
Sub-domains are extensions of your main domain. For instance, if your root domain is "agency123.com," you might use sub-domains like "emails.agency123.com" or "no-reply.agency123.com" for different campaigns. You can create multiple sub-domains by adding unique prefixes to your root domain and configuring the DNS records in your hosting settings.
Step 3: Verify DNS Records
After adding your sub-domain, verify your DNS records. You can either allow Stack to auto-configure these records or enter them manually.
Note: DNS propagation can take up to 24 hours. If it takes longer, double-check your DNS settings.
Manually Adding DNS Records
To manually add DNS records, access your hosting provider's dashboard. You'll receive specific information from Stack to create these records.

Troubleshooting Dedicated Sending Domains
Here are some common issues you might encounter when setting up your dedicated sending domains:
Error: 'Domain already pointing to email server!'
If you see this error, your domain's DNS records are already linked to another service. You'll need to disconnect these records before connecting your domain to Stack. Any existing MX or SPF records, even those linked to Stack, must be removed.
Use tools like MXToolbox to look up MX and SPF records.
