Dashboards in Stack can be personalized for individual use or shared with team members at various access levels.

Understanding Dashboard Permissions

Dashboards in Stack come with four levels of permissions:

  • Full: Allows creation, editing, sharing, and deletion of dashboards.
  • Edit: Permits editing of the dashboard and its widgets, but not deletion.
  • View: Provides read-only access.
  • Access: Restricts any access to the dashboard.

Only dashboard owners or those with Full permissions can modify a dashboard's permissions.

Managing Dashboard Permissions

Set Permissions on a New Dashboard

  1. Add a Dashboard: Go to the Dashboard section, click on the Dashboard Selection menu (blue), and then choose Add Dashboard.
  2. Select Blank Dashboard: Under the "Create a Blank Dashboard" option, click Select.
  3. Set Permissions and Save: In the New Dashboard modal, decide whether to keep the dashboard private or share it. Once you have set your preferences, click Confirm to create the dashboard with these permissions.

Set Permissions on an Existing Dashboard

  1. Manage Permissions: On your existing dashboard, click the 3-dot "action menu" and select Manage Permissions.
  2. Set Permissions and Save: Use the Private toggle to choose between private use or shared permissions. After making your changes, click Save to apply them.

Roles and Permissions Hierarchy

Dashboard permissions in Stack follow a specific hierarchy to maintain structured access:

  • Agency Admins > Agency Users > Account Admins > Account Users

Roles with higher permissions will override those with lower permissions. Lower-level roles cannot have higher access than those above them.
