How to Create a Custom Dashboard in Stack

Effortlessly customize your reporting experience by creating and managing multiple dashboards in Stack. Organize your data visualization by grouping related widgets into a unified view, tailored to your unique needs and insights.

Access the Dashboard Area

Navigate to the Dashboard section within your Stack subaccount.

Add a New Dashboard

  1. Click the Dashboard Selection Menu.
  2. In the dropdown, click the "+ Add Dashboard" button.

Note: If you don’t see this button, ensure you're in dashboard view mode.

Enter a Dashboard Name

Type a name into the Dashboard Name field.

Set Dashboard Permissions

Use the Private Dashboard toggle to control visibility:

  • ON: Make it private.
  • OFF: Allow team access.

Note: If this toggle is missing, ensure you're on the "New Dashboard" page.

Confirm and Create the Dashboard

Click the "Confirm" button to finalize creation. Your new blank dashboard will open.

Choose How to Add Widgets

Once the dashboard is created, you'll arrive at the Quick Start Widgets page. Choose one of the following options:

Option A: Use Suggested Widgets

  • Use the "What is your goal?" or "Top used widgets" quick start options to select popular widgets.
  • Click "Confirm & Add" to quickly insert top-used widgets.
  • Continue to Save Dashboard Edits.

Option B: Manually Add a Widget

Option C: Add a Widget in Edit Mode

  • Click the Edit button (pencil icon) and then click "+ Add Widget" from edit mode.

Note: If you don’t see this button, ensure you have entered edit mode.

Configure a New Widget

Use the Add New Widget panel to define your widget settings. For detailed instructions, see the article on Subaccount Dashboard Page - Widgets Add or Edit.

Save the Widget

Click the "Save" button within the widget panel.

Save Dashboard Edits

Click the "✓ Save Changes" button to save your layout and exit edit mode.
