How to Create & Add Dashboard Widgets in Stack

Adding widgets to your Stack dashboard allows you to easily access important data and metrics all in one place. Whether you're tracking leads, appointments, or sales performance, customizing your dashboard ensures it meets the unique needs of your business.

Adding Widgets to Your Dashboard

Step 1: Navigate to Your Dashboard

Start by logging into your Stack account and selecting the Dashboard tab from the menu. This will take you to the default dashboard for your sub-account.

Step 2: Add a New Dashboard (Optional)

If you wish to create a new dashboard instead of modifying the default one, click the blue Add Dashboard button. Then, select the Select a Blank Dashboard option. Give your dashboard a name, such as "Sales Dashboard". Decide if the dashboard should be Private (visible only to you) or For Everyone (visible to all users in the sub-account). After making your choice, click Confirm to create your new dashboard.

Step 3: Open the Widget Menu

To add a widget, click the Add Widget button. If you're adding widgets to an existing dashboard, click the pencil icon at the top right corner. This will open the widget menu on the right-hand side of the screen.

Step 4: Choose the Chart Type and Widget Category

Select the type of widget you want to add by browsing the categories or using the search bar to find a specific widget.

  1. Select the chart type for the data you want to display. Options include:

    • Numeric
    • Donut Chart
    • Line Chart
    • Bar Chart
    • Horizontal Bar Chart
    • Table Chart
  2. Select the widget category based on the data you wish to display on the dashboard.

Step 5: Customize Your Widget

Once you've chosen a widget category, customize it to reflect the data you want to display. For example, if you're adding an Appointments widget:

  1. Add a title (e.g., "No-Show Appointments Count").
  2. Choose a date range, if applicable.
  3. Apply any necessary filters or conditions (e.g., "User is John Smith or Calendar is Andrew's Calendar").
  4. Click Save once you've made your selections. The widget will appear on your dashboard.

Step 6: Add More Widgets

To build a comprehensive view of your data, repeat the process to add more widgets.

Step 7: Organize Your Widgets

Once your widgets are added, you can resize and reposition them to suit your needs. Drag and drop widgets into place and adjust their size for better visibility.

Step 8: Save Changes

After organizing your widgets, click Save Changes at the top of the dashboard. This ensures your new setup is saved and ready for use.

Additional Tips

  • Experiment with different widget types to find the best way to visualize your data.
  • Use filters and conditions to refine your widgets and make them more relevant.
