Understanding Funnel and Stage Distribution Widgets in Stack

Funnel Widget

The Funnel widget in Stack is a powerful tool designed to illustrate the progression of data through a step-by-step process. This visualization is particularly useful for tracking the journey of leads or opportunities as they move through different stages of a conversion or sales funnel.

You can easily switch between various funnels using the dropdown menu within the widget. This flexibility allows you to focus on specific funnels of interest.

Interpreting Funnel Widget Data

The Funnel widget displays sequential data for each stage, showing the current and subsequent stages. Here's an example to clarify:

  • Stage 1: Registered ➝ 229 Leads
  • Stage 2: Trial Purchased ➝ 4 Leads
  • Stage 3: Lesson 1 Watched ➝ 32 Leads
  • Stage 4: Lesson 2 Watched ➝ 7 Leads
  • Stage 5: Lesson 3 Watched ➝ 0 Leads

In the Funnel widget, you'll see six sections: one for each stage and an additional "WON" section, marking the desired exit point for opportunities.

  • First Section (Registered): Displays the total number of opportunities that have entered the pipeline. For example, 272 opportunities are shown, representing all statuses (open, lost, won, or abandoned).
  • Second Section (Trial Purchased): Advances in the stage sequence, excluding opportunities still in the previous stage. Here, 43 opportunities are shown, including all WON opportunities in the pipeline.

The formula for calculating opportunities in each section is:

Number of opportunities in a section = Number of opportunities from the current stage to the last stage (including all WON opportunities in the pipeline)

Continuing with this logic, the third section displays 43 opportunities, combining those in "Lesson 1 Watched," "Lesson 2 Watched," "Lesson 3 Watched," and WON opportunities.

The cumulative conversion rate reflects the opportunities that have progressed through all stages in the widget, while the next step conversion rate pertains to the immediate preceding stage.

Revenue for each section is calculated in a similar sequential manner.

Stage Distribution Widget

The Stage Distribution widget provides a snapshot of the number of OPEN opportunities at each stage. WON and LOST opportunities are displayed separately, and the conversion rate is calculated as the percentage of opportunities that have converted to a specific stage.

Using the Stage Distribution Widget

You can switch between different funnels using the dropdown menu within the widget, allowing you to analyze various pipelines with ease.

Note: Ensure that you have the necessary permissions enabled to access these widgets within your Stack dashboard.
