Custom Object Audit Logs in Stack
Overview
The Custom Objects feature in Stack is designed to help you track and monitor key actions such as creating, updating, or deleting custom objects, records, and associations between objects. Initially available to Beta users, these audit logs offer detailed insights into changes across custom objects.
Key Features
- Activity Tracking: Keep an eye on when new custom objects are created or updated.
- Record Logging: Actions like creating, updating, or deleting individual custom object records are logged for your reference.
- Association Tracking: Monitor any new associations, updates, or deletions between two custom objects or between a custom object and a contact.
Granular Insights
To dive deeper into specific changes:
- Click on the three-dot ellipsis menu on the right side of the audit log entry.
- Select "View Details" to see more specific information about what was added or updated during each action.
Using Audit Logs
Audit logs are a powerful tool to ensure transparency and accountability in your custom object management. Here's how you can access and utilize them:
- Navigate to Settings in your Stack account.
- Go to Audit Logs.
- Click on the ellipsis (three dots) menu option on the right of any entry to view more details about the change.
- Use the module dropdown to filter by Objects, Custom Objects, or Associations for more targeted insights.
Important Note
Audit logs are retained for up to 60 days after an activity, ensuring you have ample time to review and act on the information provided.
