Grouping Contacts with the Company Object in Stack
The Company Object feature in Stack allows you to create a "Company" entity and associate contacts with it. This feature acts as a grouping tool, enabling you to map contacts to a company and track their collective activities.

Introduction to the Company Object Feature
The Company Object feature helps you organize contacts by grouping them under a company. This setup is beneficial for tracking activities related to a particular organization.
Creating a Company
To create a new company in Stack, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Contacts > Company > New Company.
- Fill out the necessary fields:
- Company Name (mandatory)
- Phone Number (optional)
- Email (optional)
- Website (optional)
- Description (optional)
- Street Address (optional)
- City (optional)
- Postal Code (optional)
- Country (optional)
- Click on Add Company to save the new company.
Note: Only the Company Name is mandatory. Phone and Email fields are validated for correct format but not for actual existence.
Editing Company Details
To update the details of an existing company:
- Go to the Company tab.
- Click the three dots next to the company you wish to edit.
- Select Edit Company and make the necessary changes.
Deleting a Company
To remove a company from Stack:
- Navigate to the Company tab.
- Click the three dots next to the company you want to delete.
- Choose Delete Company.
Note: Deleting a company will not remove its contacts from your contact list. It only clears the Company information from the contacts' Company tab.
Adding Contacts to a Company
Currently, you can add contacts to a company manually:
- Go to the contact's Company tab.
- Search for and select the company to add the contact to.
You can also select multiple contacts and switch between them to add them to a company in bulk.
Removing a Contact from a Company
To remove a contact from a company:
- Open the Company tab and select the desired company.
- Switch to the Contacts section within the Company tab.
- Click the Trash icon next to the contact you wish to remove.
- Confirm the removal by clicking Yes when prompted.
Note: Removing a contact from a company does not delete the contact from your contact list. It only removes the association with the company.
