iCloud Integration with Stack

Overview

Integrating your iCloud Calendar with Stack can enhance your scheduling capabilities by allowing seamless event synchronization. Here are the key aspects to consider:

  • Supported Calendar Types: This integration is tailored for Round Robin, Collective, Class Booking, and Service Calendars.
  • Two-Way Sync: Events created in Stack can sync to iCloud, and vice versa.
  • Limitations: Simple Calendars are not supported for iCloud integration.

Data Flow: Stack to iCloud

When you create events in Stack and sync them to iCloud:

  • Any changes you make in Stack will be updated in your connected iCloud calendar.
  • Changes made in iCloud will reflect back in Stack, except for event deletions.
  • Note: If an event is deleted in iCloud, it will not be removed from the Stack calendar due to integration limitations.

Additionally, blocked-off slots created in Stack will not sync to iCloud.

Data Flow: iCloud to Stack

When you create events in iCloud and sync them to Stack:

  • Changes made in your iCloud calendar will be mirrored in Stack.
  • Similarly, updates in Stack will reflect in iCloud.

For example, if you add an appointment like "Pick John from school" in iCloud, it will appear in your Stack calendar, and any changes will sync across both platforms.

Important Notes on iCloud Integration

  • Contact Creation: Events from iCloud will not create new contacts in Stack. These events are treated as blocked slots rather than appointments.
  • Blocked Slots: If you create a blocked slot in Stack, it will not sync to your iCloud calendar.
  • Subscription Calendars: Stack cannot integrate with subscription calendars from iCloud, such as those added via a URL.
