Bot Goals Feature: Complete Guide
Table of Contents
Introduction
The Bot Goals feature in Stack is an enhancement of the previous Configure Intent feature in the conversation AI. This update allows you to edit or update prompts for both new and existing bots. Future updates will include additional sub-features like Trigger a Workflow and Update Contact Info, offering even more customization and functionality. The previously separate Bot Trial feature is now integrated as Test Your Bot, providing a seamless experience within the Bot Goals feature.
Key Changes in the New Version
- Support for Multiple Bots: Unlike earlier versions, you can now create multiple bots. This flexibility allows you to design bots for specific tasks such as General Q&A, Appointment Booking, and more. For example, one bot can handle general queries while another focuses on appointment scheduling.
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Accessing the Bot Goals Feature
To get started, you can either create a new bot or edit an existing one. If you're setting up a new bot, remember to assign it a name before moving forward.
Step 2: Navigating the Bot Interface
After selecting or creating your bot, you'll encounter three tabs:
- Bot Settings: No changes have been made to this section.
- Bot Training: This section remains unchanged as well.
- Bot Goals: This is the new feature, which includes sub-features like Trigger a Workflow and Update Contact Info (coming soon) to customize your bot's behavior. The Bot Trial feature is now part of the Bot Training or Bot Goals sections.
Step 3: Customizing Your Bot Goals
Within the Bot Goals tab, you'll find the Prompt section. Here, you can add or update AI prompts to align with your goals. Each goal requires a new bot and a corresponding prompt. If you're establishing a prompt for a new goal, create a new bot and customize the prompt in its Bot Goals section.
Sub-Features within Bot Goals
-
Appointment Booking: A new sub-feature, Transfer Employee Post Appointment Booking, is available. This allows for a smooth transition to a different bot once an action, like booking an appointment, is completed. You can choose the next bot from a dropdown list to ensure the conversation continues seamlessly.
-
Trigger a Workflow: Coming Soon
-
Add Contact Info: Coming Soon
You can find detailed help documents for each sub-feature by clicking the respective links within the platform.
Step 4: Finalizing the Bot
Once you've set up the prompts and configured your bot, click Save. Your bot will then be live, ready to enhance user interactions with the features and prompts you've established.
