Using Commission Length & Variable Commissions in Affiliate Manager
The Commission Length and Variable Commissions Over Time features in Stack allow you to tailor how affiliates are compensated for recurring product sales. Here's how you can set them up:
Commission Length
This feature lets you pay affiliates for a specific number of transactions rather than indefinitely.
Variable Commissions
With this option, you can offer varying commission rates based on the number of charges.

Step 2: Set the Default Commission
During the campaign setup, specify the default commission rate that affiliates will earn.
Step 3: Enable Commission Length

By default, commissions continue until the customer cancels. To limit this, select By Count.

The limit is based on the number of successful charges, not time intervals. This applies whether the subscription is monthly or yearly.
Step 4: Set Variable Commissions Over Time
-
Toggle Variable Commissions to activate this feature.
-
Choose Two Levels to set different rates for specific charge counts.
Example:
- For the first 3 charges, set the commission to 33%.
- Afterward, it defaults to 23%.
You can add more tiers for detailed control if needed.
Step 5: Publish Your Campaign
Save your campaign to apply the updated commission settings.
