Linking Your WhatsApp Business Account to a Facebook Page

Linking your WhatsApp Business account to your Facebook Page allows customers to message you directly via WhatsApp with a single click. Here's how you can set it up:

  1. Open the WhatsApp Business App.
  2. On Android, tap More options. On iPhone, tap Settings.
  3. Tap Business tools > Facebook & Instagram.
  4. Tap Facebook > Continue to open the Facebook login page.
  5. Enter your Facebook account login details and tap Log In.
  6. Select the Facebook Page you want to link and tap Connect WhatsApp.
  7. If you don't have a Facebook Page, you'll have the option to create one.
  8. A WhatsApp button will now appear on your Facebook Page.
  9. Return to the WhatsApp Business App to see your linked Facebook Page at the top of the Facebook & Instagram screen.

Connecting to the WhatsApp Business App

Step-by-Step Connection Process

  1. Start the Signup Process:

    • Navigate to Settings > WhatsApp > Connect WhatsApp Business App.
  2. Continue with Signup:

    • Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed with the registration.
  3. Connect to LeadConnector:

    • Click Get Started to link your WhatsApp Business account with LeadConnector.
  4. Enter Your Business Information:

    • Fill in the necessary business details as prompted.
  5. Select Onboarding Type:

    • Choose Connect your existing WhatsApp Business App for seamless integration.
  6. Confirm WhatsApp Business App Connection:

    • Share your existing WhatsApp Business account with LeadConnector. You'll retain full access to your WhatsApp Business App.
  7. Add a WhatsApp Phone Number:

    • Enter the WhatsApp number you want to connect.
  8. Verify or Edit Your WhatsApp Business Account:

    • Ensure all details are correct before proceeding.
  9. Import Contacts & Chat History:

    • Import contacts and up to six months of chat history from the WhatsApp Business App.
  10. Connect to the Business Platform:

    • Scan the QR code to complete the connection.
  11. Share Chat History & Contacts:

    • Your contacts and conversations will be securely synced with LeadConnector.
  12. Setup Complete!

    • Your WhatsApp Business App is now successfully integrated with LeadConnector!

Important Notes:

  • Sending template messages is not supported via the WhatsApp Business App; it can only be done through the CRM.
  • You can manage your WhatsApp profile from the WhatsApp Business App, not from the CRM.
  • Only one phone number can be used under the coexistence feature.

Synchronizing Contacts and Conversations

The synchronization process for your chats and contacts typically takes 4 to 6 hours. The time may vary based on:

  • The number of chat conversations.
  • The total number of contacts.

Once synchronized, your chat conversations will be accessible under the 'Conversations' tab, and your contacts will be listed under the 'Contacts' tab in Stack. Ensure your WhatsApp Business App remains open and connected to the internet during this process.

WhatsApp Conversation Charges

  • Messages from WhatsApp Business App: Free and not counted towards limits.
  • Messages from Cloud API: Charged based on the existing API pricing model.

This setup allows businesses to use free messaging for simple communications while leveraging Cloud API for advanced messaging needs.
